Within what art genre did Warhol work? Pop art
Define the genre? Pop art isolates an object or combines it with other objects.
During what years was he alive? 1928-1987

Title of the piece? Marilyn
Describe the color that he utilizes. Does he use any particular color scheme? Warhol utilizes yellow, pink, and blue. He doesn't use a particular color scheme.
What do you notice about the artwork itself? I noticed that the colors are very vibrant. The image itself looks realistic, but the colors look cartoonish like they are overlays on top of the real colors.

Compare and contrast vector graphics and pixel images.
Vector graphics can be created by using mathematical equations. They can be easily scaled to maintain a good quality. Vector graphics are created using Adobe Illustrator. Pixel images are created using Photoshop. These images are made up of tiny boxes called pixels. These images need a certain resolution to display properly and clearly.

Steve Jobs
Who is Steve Jobs? Steve Jobs was the co-founder of Apple Inc., was a chief executive of Pixar Animation Studios, and was on the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company.
What company was he CEO for many years? Apple Inc.
What did he do for the computer industry? Jobs was the first to commercialize a line of personal computers. His company has continued to influence the way computers are created and technology is used in every day life.
How did this man impact the graphic design industry? Jobs influenced graphic design with his work at the Pixar Animation Studios. He revolutionized the way animated films are created and how they are viewed by the audience.

Why must designers pay close attention to how color is utilized within a composition? Color can affect how the reader views the image, and can change the feeling they receive from it. Color can also be viewed differently next to other colors.
Why is the color wheel an important tool for graphic designers? Graphic designers use the color wheel to determine color schemes.
Find an example of neutral colors utilized within a design (hint: google poster design). Near the sample, discuss why you feel the designer included neutral colors within the composition.
The designer used neutral colors to emphasize the blue streak of color in the middle of the page. It draws the viewers eye to that section and creates interest and movement within the piece.
